Volunteers Needed - Search for Missing Person

So Cal FJ guys and gals...

A co-worker of mine here at Toyota has a neice that has been missing and is coordinating a second search and recovery for his niece on the West side of the Mojave River on 3/28/09. Volunteers with 4 wheel drive and off road vehicles (ATVs, bikes etc) are being requested. I have attached his email to the off-road group here at TMS.

Trinity Search & Recovery has scheduled a second Large Scale search for my niece, Leisa Hurst, next weekend 03/28/2009, from 8am - 4pm near Adelanto, CA. We will be searching the west side of Mojave River (on 03/21/2009 we searched the east side).

Anyone who would like to volunteer for this search can register on Trinity's web site:

The exact assembly location is TBD... all registered volunteers will receive automated search updates via email.

Man... so sad. I was in that exact area today. Was about to pull some one out of the river, but he was able to get himself out. I'll keep this one in mind.

Bob, thanks for posting this up. Something which is very worthy to be involved. I'll keep an eye on that site and do what I can.

Do you still need people im in to help out. If im going to go out why not try and help out others wile im doing some thing I like to do. If you have any directions for people coming from laguna niguel that would be grate.

PS: MY PRAYERS ARE WITH ANY ONE THAT IS INPACT WITH THIS CASE!

My Prayers are with her and the family. If I can find some one to Sponsor me for gas for this, I can do this. I have no money for gas so that makes it hard for me to volunteer. I've been out of a job. I have a lot of free time but little money so I just spend most of my days at home.

Thanks all... they always need volunteers and especially with 4wd and off road experiance. Check the web site link for instructions and directions. I think they are providing the search command center info once a volunteer is registered.

I tried registering, and sending a message, but both failed. I'll try from home, just in case it's a firewall port issue.
