I posted a article a while back about forced volunteerism. some people thought I was nuts

Look what Obama's buddy wants to make mandatory
A bill introduced in the House of Representatives by Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., would reinstate a compulsory military draft during war time and require U.S. citizens not selected for military duty to perform a "national service obligation" - as defined by President Obama - for a minimum of two years.

I actually like the way they do it in Singapore and some other countries. At around age 18 you must serve at least 2 years in the military or you lose your citizenship.

There forcing high school student now to donate time in order to graduate. It just happend to be in programs that pushes the governments agenda, not the american people
or our way of life. Hitler done the same thing

I think some form of mandatory community service is fair. I think we should have the option between one or the other.

I think its some BS that this would take priority over a higher education. Straight out of high school a lot of kids can potentially have some MAJOR opportunities open to them.

I wonder what the effects of this would be. If this makes the people in charge do a whole lot of double,triple checks a few hundred times before we get ourselves into situations we shouldn't be in, then I'm for it.
