Finally got rid of the wimpy stock horn! Replaced it with a set of Hella Supertone horns. These are the same fire engine red discs that peek through the grill of Subaru's killer WRX and other high end vehicles (this upgrade is a popular mod on the sports car forums).
I installed it using the supplied relay (not just splicing it in) and holy sh*t -these things are HELLA LOUD (pun intended)!!! They put out 118db, WAY louder than stock! The tone is also directed forward instead of down like the stock horn. $53.00 at Four Wheel Parts.

Say hello to Badmotherf*cker's younger sibling The "'LIL F*CKER"...
Traded lgtiny a set of Intense Fab sliders for this nitro gas powered OFNA 1/8 buggy... It'll cost less for gas when I go wheeling with this puppy fo' sho'! Tiny, as you can see it cleaned up good. Although the "hook-ups" sticker was way cool I had to remover it since it had seen better days... I've given it a whole new attitude with the addition of its race-face and new moniker on the wing. Unfortunately, after adding the new parts, I pulled the wire starter too hard and it came off in my hand. Gotta get a new one from OFNA, or an engine cover plate so I can use the starter box... I'll keep you posted!

Who can resist a chunk of billet T6 aluminum? I couldn't! Had to buy this receiver block as soon as I saw it even though I had a perfectly good steel one already... Oh well... Here's a pic so you can drool too (or is it just me that gets this excited over a chunk of metal?)... Oh yeah, it is lighter than my steel one -but not by much...

I can't wait to take it to the track, that sounds like a blast... I just have to get it working!

They come as a set for a reason - each horn puts out a different frequency tone - one high and one lower - and together they are annoying to the human ear. So, installing one will be less effective, and put out less sound pressure (dBs) than installing the matched pair.
