The fee covers a spot in the group campsite, access to the showers and swimming pool, a T-Shirt, a raffle ticket and the reassurance of not having to drive after indulging in the night time festivities. All the runs start at the campsite. The trailhead to the night run is just a few miles from the campsite as well.

$55.00 for a tent site for two nights and $95.00 for an RV site for two nights to include all the amenities is a deal. We get a discount since we have a relationship with the park owners. The bonfire pit at our their group site is over 10 feet in diameter. There's even Wi-Fi near the camp store if you need it.

I think anyone who attended the event last year will say it is more than a fair deal. However, if you choose to make other accomodations, we still welcome you to come join us.

BorregoFest Central is set up at Stagecoach Trails Campground. It is located just a few miles south of Scissors Crossing on the S-2 on the west side of the road. Scissors Crossing is where Highway 78 meets the S-2. This campground is closer to the majority of the trail heads we frequent and offers good accommodations. Sites have already been reserved at the campground, and the campground personnel are looking forward to having us stay there. Our group campsite includes a huge bonfire pit, a huge canopy to have the potluck and raffle under, and even a stage if we need it. The images below are from last years event prerun. They have done some renovations to the site for this years event. I will be making a prerun to the site in a few weeks to see what they've done to improve the site. We didn't even need to occupy the additional sites last year.

Accommodations Include:
-Country Store
-Heated Pool
-Nature Trails for Hiking and Horseback Riding
-Full-time onsite Management
-Horseshoe Pits and Shuffleboard
-WIFI Available
-Quiet and Secluded

In addition to all the usual festivities at BorregoFest, we are adding one more feature:

Amateur Radio License Testing !!!

That's right, OAUSA will now be offering testing sessions, and the inaugural session will be out in beautiful Anza Borrego, on Sunday, Oct 24, 2010, at the Stagecoach Campground, from 9:30am - 12 noon or so...

So, if you are thinking about getting your license, or upgrading it, no more excuses !!! you can mingle, wheel, eat, AND get your license at OAUSA BrregoFest 2010.

For more info, go to :

http://forums.oausa.net/viewtopic.php?f=147&t=2168

I hope to see you there !!!

A new question pool for the Technician license was mandated on July 1, 2010. So, every site that provides practice tests will now be pulling from the latest official question pool.

In general, the question pools for each license grade (Technician, General, Extra) change every few years (and each level is staggered so they don't all change at once). The valid question pool dates can be found on any of the study guides, on-line sites, and on the American Radio Relay League site (www.arrl.org). Make sure, if you are currently studying, that you are using an up-to-date guide, or you might be surprised on test day
