We have vacation place here -that we're presently at for the week - that we've had for a dozen years or so, but typically stay here (it's on the beach), and in the nearby village area only, or cruise up and down the coast. To be honest, other than being right on the beach (which obviously counts for a lot), and having the "quaint" little village nearby, I've really never been all that fond of it.
This year we've been doing some exploring of more of the entire town, particularly the residential parts across the freeway. We've suddenly become much more impressed - this is a very nice area, really pretty with lots of rolling hills and open spaces. I know that unfortunately most of this used to be flower fields, but at least there have been some untouched areas left to break up the housing tracts.
So, the question is, does anyone on here live in town? If so, what's your take on the place???
Inquiring minds want to know...

This was built to be a Robispec Track evo when I purchased it, but never made it to the track with its new setup. I was going to daily drive it, so I made a few changes to it, but not much. It is back up for sale now, as I just found out that my wife is having another baby. Times are hard, and need more room that is more comfortable for my family.

Head work was just done in July at Reese, and was tuned at Reese as well per the last owner. I have the receipt for the head work. All parts, such as turbo, and clutch was installed in March per previous owner, and I installed the exhaust which the HFC and Muffler are new.

Note: I'm not in a hurry to sell, but will entertain offers. has a lot put into and very low miles, so price reflects that, but it is for best offer.

If you shop on amazon.com a lot, boy do I got something for you! Right now now now! They are offering parents Amazon Prime free for 3 months. And for each $25 you spend in one order, they'll give you an extra month of prime added to your 3 free months! (up to one year) You could be caregivers or parents. I think this is pretty awesome stuff. Oh yeah, what Amazon prime is, is that for all your orders, you get free 2-day shipping! You heard that right! 2-day shipping! And for 1-day shipping, it's only $3.99! That's right! $3.99! And there's some other goodies involved, you guys and gals can read it. Thought I'd share.
Edit. No, I didn't get hacked. But I am a Nigeria prince and the government is withholding my money of 3 million dollars. For me to take it back, I need $10,000 and I'll give you all $3 million dollars for helping me out. I hope to hear from you soon.;)

So I was at the Brea Mall with the family and on our way out my wife said that she was hungry. There are tons of places nearby but I have been wanting her to check out one of the Kogi Trucks. She has a thing againts "Roach Coaches". I searched Twitter and noticed that thery were off of Dunn Way in Placentia. I thought to myslef, I know where that is! So I made it there by memory. How do I know this place? That's where I picked up my Trasheroo from Kokopeli. The Kogi truck was located at 715 - B Dunn Way, Placentia, parked right outside The Bruery http://thebruery.com/. Did not even know that this place existed, it was way cool if you are into beer. Anyway, long story short...wife loves Kogi and dejavu when I recalled that I had been to that business park. Now we hunt food trucks. Saturday we found the Buttermilk truck at the Americana on Brand (Glendale bro) for some red velvet buttermilk pancakes.

On the hunt for the following:

Lomo Arigato - Peruvian Truck
Eat Phamish - Vietnamese Truck
Don Chows - Chinese Mexican Fusion
Dos Chinos - ?
South Philly Experience - Philly Cheese Steak

They have OC Din Din A Go Go each week at K1 Irvine on Wed nights and Thursday at K1 Gardena. Good place to have a meet and eat quick like. All my South Bay folks, lets plan a meet at G-Town K1? Director you down?

Anyone else have any favorites?

Headed out today with the girls for what I was hoping would be a fun little run. It started out great until we got on the shelf road. The girls didn't seem to mind but Bec was on the outside on the way up the road and was definitely not enjoying herself.

We stopped about halfway up and the girls wanted to sit in the back of the truck and eat lunch. Piper went exploring. Roxy peeked through the binoculars. Dillen wondered why the air smelled so much better.

I wish we could have made the whole run. Really wanted to get the girls up to High Point Lookout but I made the mistake of not pre-running it. Mental note taken. Bec was a good sport about it but she's put a giant sticky note on the guide book 'Trail rating of 1 only!!!'.

All in all, it was a beautiful day out with my girls. For that, I can't complain too badly. Next weekend is a quick campout near Julian, then Borrego in October. I'm determined to get these girls outside and into the dirt.

Oh, and I managed a few snaps...
Few more photos here.

I'll be heading back out there at some point to make the whole run. I really want to see the other side of the hill as you come down into Warner Springs. There's supposed to be a mine somewhere along the road.

*Corral Canyon Sept 5, 2010
Beautiful day up in the mountains. Temp. about 90 degrees.
Met up at Los Coches Mcdonalds @ 7:30am. From our Forum that made the trip were:
TPFJ (blk FJ), Baja2oy (4Rnr), ralphie (silver FJ), baja dan (taco) BigDouggieDoug (solar FJ). Non members: Samurai (paul) & Fj mike (maroon fj)

Big ups to BigDouggiedoug for dragging his butt out off bed EARLY to get down to S.D. Thats a long drive from Westminster!

*trails: Espinosa Trail, Los Pinos Lookout, Bronco Flats, Gunslinger & Sidewinder

For the morning run we hit up Espinosa Trail and up to the Los Pinoslook out. The run took about 2-2 1/2 hours. Very simple trail.
We proceeded with lunch at the Corral Canyon Campground.

After lunch, we all headed out to Bronco Flats & Gunslinger. I would say medium range difficulty on certain portions of
Bronco Flats. The rest is a nice and easy.

At 2pm, Most of the gang had left. TPFJ, BigDouggieDoug & Baja2oy remained to tackle sidewinder.
The toughest out of the runs we did for the day. 4x4, lift and under armor highly recommended.
Took us three about two hours to complete. A must do run in Corral Canyon. Short, but filled with great obstacles!!!

It was great meeting all that showed up and hope to do this again soon!

Pics to follow soon.

Again we are moving things around today and we have decided to make some room in the house today. We got this stereo for our daughter on gradutation and its never even been plugged in. Her boyfreind got here some fancy Ipod stereo something or other and this one never got used. I hooked it up today to make sure it all works and it works great. Its been sitting on our dresser upstair for 3 years. Its dimensions are L:24 3/4 W:15 H: 11. I`m asking for $40.00 OBO and it has to be local pick up. Let me know if your interested. Its a good sounding stereo Steve
Today we were moving things around in the living room and I came acrossed our Nintendo Gamecube. It has 4 games Super smash brothers, Mario cart, Animal crossing and Outlaw golf. It has 2 controllers, 2 memory cards 3 controller extentions and ( I forgot what its called ) thing that lets you play Nintendo DS games on it. Everything works great. I figured this might be good for the younger kids that you don`t want beating your game system to death . I`m looking for $50.00 OBO takes it all. I figure if no ones interested i`ll see what game stop will give me for it.
